Hunter gets his name from one of our favorite songs titled “Boys Adventure Tale”, with a tiny twist on the spelling. Hunter has a very sweet and gentle nature and loves company, cuddling & playing. He has a handsome, masculine head with dark eyes with small well set ears. He is a clear tri-color with perfectly symmetrical tri markings, a glossy short coat and he has an effortless gait with good reach and drive. Hunter was owned and campaigned by John at Yiyanda Kennels for 12 months before returning home with us for a few months. If we didn't already have 3 Basenji boys in the house we would have loved to have kept him for ourselves. He is now enjoying the high life as the totally spoilt bed warmer of Lynne and Geoff in Williamstown.

Tiina Taavitsainen took this photo of Hunter just at the start of his gait on our front nature strip so he is not quite reaching out yet but as its the only gaiting photo I have of him I thought I would share it here. He has that effortless floating gait that the breed seems to be losing.
