Oki is a very, funny, talkative, boy full of bounce and energy. He loves running as fast as he can and jumps effortlessly over any of the dogs or even the coffee table that might get in his way. He also loves to snuggle into your lap and cuddle just like his mum Jorji & he is a really big smoocher who loves kissing! Oki reminds us the most of a gazelle (deer) and often gets called "Bambi" & he loves to amuse us with his constant talking in his own special language so he also gets “Wookie” or “Chewbaca” (character from starwars) as a nickname. He gets along super with our other male Basenjis and is a very well behaved house dog (except for always stealing the bath mat). |

In the Hound Club of Victoria 2004 Point score Competition Oki was the Top Basenji of the year.
Not only did he win the Point Score but he had double the points of his nearest rival.
Oki was born to move!
Even gaiting around our lounge room or our back yard he floats, proudly and effortlessly never breaking his gait.
Oki's littersister Pitsi exported to Finland & owned by Bulldobas Basenjis has also had a super show career being an International All Breeds 'Best Exhibit In Show' winner (2,200 entries) & has numerous Group placements. From 2 litters she has produced 2 Best In Specialty Show and 1 Runner Up In Specialty Show winners.
Oki has an effortless gait with good reach and drive, sound movement from all angles, lovely angulation front & rear, depth of chest, good substance, proud head carriage, nice length of neck, good feet, excellent shelf and an excellent coat. He is a real talker, yodeller & kisser but above all we just love his gentle, easy going and affectionate nature. His best feature is his movement. |
