Sunny is a real lap dog in the true sense of the word; he quickly finds his way onto anyones laps (including our guests) as soon as they sit down and snuggles right in. He is a loving, affectionate & gentle little boy & a real yodeller and cuddler as well as being a complete "mummy's boy"! He is a very easy boy to live with and very well behaved in the home.
He loves playing with & cuddling up to our other Basenji Boys; Zurii & Oki.
Oki & Sunny are the best of mates and love cleaning each others ears & tumbling around playfully together in between cuddling up on the couch.
At the Melbourne "Pet Expo" in February 2007 Sunny was a terrific ambassador for the breed with the multitudes of people passing through. He just soaked up all the attention including cuddles & kisses from people of all ages and sizes; including toddlers.

"In my opinion this 16 months red and white male is a world class exhibit of super type and quality. So very pleasing to go over with a super head, eye and expression, he is masculine in appearance with ample bone and substance and most importantly the graceful appearance which so typifies the breed. His condition and presentation was faultless and he was moved at the optimum pace to show off his typical side gait. Delighted to be able to award him the Dog CC and 'Best In Show' award in this very strong entry"......

Sunny began his show career with a bang winning Best Baby Puppy In Show at the Hound Club Victoria Specialty Show.


Sunny possesses lovely breed type, substance & elegance with fine clean bone, good feet, a good head & small slightly hooded ears with lovely wrinkle. He has a good front, medium width & fill, depth of chest , a well crested neck flowing into good shoulders, a short back & level topline, a well curled tail with shelf and moderate hindquarters resulting in balanced sound movement from all angles, trimmed with a pliant, short, fine coat & he is also passing these qualities on to his offspring. Sunny is a proven sire with succesful progeny in the ring in Australia and Overseas.
He is a consistent winner under National & International All Breeds judges as well as under Breed & Hound Specialists.
AT STUD:
In Italy: His daughter BIS, It Ch & Rom Ch & ItJ Ch & SMJ Ch & ZW-07 Afrikenji Summa Tango is having a very succesful show career & is an All Breeds BEST EXHIBIT IN SHOW winner.
Australia - Best Of Breed, Multiple Class In Group & Show winner Afrikenji Shani Summa (before we lost her at 8 months)
Norway - A very promising litter of 6 pups out of 'Norwegian Ch Century'
at Kennel Kingwanas via frozen semen whelped: 27th August '07
They are already attracting attention at their tender age having Multiple Best Puppy In Show wins under their belts and wonderful critiques!
