Sunny is a real lap dog in the true sense of the word; he quickly finds his way onto anyones laps (including our guests) as soon as they sit down and snuggles right in. He is a loving, affectionate & gentle little boy & a real yodeller and cuddler. He is very easy to live with and very well behaved in the home.
He loves playing with & cuddling up to our other Basenji Boys; Zurii & Oki also known as"The 3 Musketeers".
Oki & Sunny are the best of mates and love cleaning each others ears & tumbling around playfully together in between cuddling up on the couch.
At the Melbourne “Pet Expo” in February 2007 Sunny was a terrific ambassador for the breed with the multitudes of people passing through. He just soaked up all the attention including cuddles & kisses from people of all ages and sizes; including toddlers.

Sunny is a sound & typey Basenji possessing substance along with elegance with fine straight bone, good feet, a nice head & slightly hooded ears with lovely wrinkle. He measures 17 inches square. He has a good front, medium width & fill, depth of chest , a well crested neck flowing into good shoulders, a level topline, standing and moving, short back, a double curled tail with shelf and moderate hindquarters resulting in balanced sound movement from all angles, trimmed with pliant skin & an ultra short, fine dark coat. He is a proven stud and he is passing his qualities on to his offspring.

Sunny is a consistent winner under National & International All Breeds judges as well as under Breed & Hound Specialists.

Sunny is a proven sire with successful progeny in the show ring.

Italy: Daughter from 1st litter: BIS/Int/It/Rom/ItJCh/SMJCh/ ZW-07 Afrikenji Summa Tango is an All Breeds BEST EXHIBIT IN SHOW winner.
Australia: Best Of Breed, Multiple Class In Group & Show winner Afrikenji Shani Summa (before we tragically lost her at 8 months)
Norway:   6 puppies at Kennel Kingwanas whelped: 2007 - 5 b/w, 1 r/w
Multiple Best In Group, and In Show wins -
SBOS Kingwanas Entertaining Story made history at the 2008 Norwegian Specialty being the youngest Basenji to ever win at a Specialty at only just 9mths and is Norways 2008 Top Puppy - not bad for a Black & White Girl!
Norway: 5 puppies at Doberguard Kennels whelped 2008- 2 males and 3 females r/w. Nicki's show debut resulted in BOB & BIG-2 & Maya's show debut resulted in BOS Puppy at the 2009 Norwegian Specialty & 4 of the pups were placed in the top 3 placings.
